​General Public Workshops open to the public to build basic awareness of human trafficking crimes, local resources, and community action to combat and prevent exploitation

10:30AM-12PM Human Trafficking 101

​This morning workshop is a great learning experience for first time learners and seasoned professionals. Industry experts will break down the different forms and roots of issues at local to global levels. Moderated panel to immediately follow! 

1-3PM "What does it Take to Build a Safe House?" 

​Join us in the afternoon for a deep discussion on the realities of developing a Safe House for victims of human trafficking. This workshop will feature the experiences by nonprofit and faith based leaders from the region. This is a must for concerned citizens, local leaders, and organization directors. 

3-4PM Uniting for Change: Eliminating Demand through action based initiatives

​Understand issues of demand that impact our local economy and community safety. Receive tools and resources to be an informed citizen and report suspicious activity. 


​Youth ​Engaging youth through peer outreach to build awareness and understanding

​All teens welcome to learn directly from peers through the Park Place Street Outreach Program on tackling challenging experiences and preventing our local youth from being trapped in a life of exploitation and crime. Morning and afternoon workshop is available for youth ages 12+.
